Coaching

I believe that your career should be a vehicle for your values in life.

My path to focusing on coaching was paved by a decade of building the systems that define people operations. I began on the front lines of HR, navigating the day-to-day transactions to the more complex special projects and change management initiatives. As my career evolved into strategic Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) consultancy and leadership, I moved into the architecture of work. Implementing new policies, designing performance management systems, spinning up employee councils, and training employees on organization-wide initiatives became my focus. I knew that for workplaces to strive for true inclusivity, the underlying systems had to support that vision.

Through every engagement, I found myself most comfortable working one-on-one with folks at the organizations- whether that was coaching a manager on leading with empathy or working with an employee to help formulate their DEI council charter. I realized that while I enjoyed having a hand in the infrastructure, I was more passionate about ensuring it worked for the people using it and that the change we hoped to see would actually materialize. â€‹â€‹

Today, I focus on partnering with professionals and leaders 1:1 to problem-solve in real time. I help folks ensure that the ways in which they work and show up are a direct reflection of the values they hold.

Working with Amanda has been a very positive and insightful experience. One of the biggest things I gained during our partnership was a better understanding of the current job market landscape and what it really takes to secure a job in today’s environment.

Amanda’s coaching style is unique because she truly tries to meet people where they are at. She is very detailed, thoughtful, and optimistic throughout the process, which helped me stay encouraged even during challenging moments in the job search.

One of the most valuable takeaways for me was learning how to strategically crosswalk job descriptions and duty statements with my own experience. Breaking down key responsibilities and aligning them with my background helped me approach interviews with more confidence and intention.

Overall, Amanda created a supportive environment that helped me feel more prepared, more confident, and more aware of how to present my experience in a meaningful way.
